New Year's Eve lunch

Time is racing along so if I don't post some of these pictures they will get swept up in other events.

Lunch on December 31st was a return visit to Le Jules Verne, way up high (125m high!) in the Eiffel Tower. It meant that we could toast all our friends and family in Australia at 2pm when the 'real' New Year started, and then sit at our apartment ( Read more... )

Are those more Hermes macarons on the plate as well??

I am yet to try those ones... next time :P

So much truffle! I'm yet to have a truffle dish where I can actually see the blighters - usually it's just 'infused'.

Amazing truffle. These macarons were Jules Verne ones, but when the True Love mentioned that he had been to Pierre Hermes the waiter immediately said "Ah, you had to queue up outside?" - I love a place that's so passionate about food!

Isn't it gorgeous? I love that combination of wonderful food and engineering! Tasted incredubly good, too :D
