The drive took longer than expected because of backed up beach traffic on the road. The two brothers sat, the engine idling in the warm spring sun, while an old U2 song played on the radio.

"I can't believe you listen to this," Lucas said, leaning his head back against the seat rest.

Nathan grinned, his fingers tapping a heartbeat on the steering wheel. "Reminds me of Haley."

Lucas opened one eye to peer at him. "You already miss her?"

"Don't you miss Peyton?" Nathan asked, twisting a little in his seat to look at his brother.

Lucas sighed, smiling wryly. "Yeah, I do. Can't believe I have to look at your ugly mug for a weekend instead of hers."

Nathan laughed, applying slight pressure on the gas as traffic began to move slowly. "This is gonna be fun."
