Peyton lay stretched out on the living room couch. Her back on the seat cushions with her legs thrown up and over the back, while the tips of her slowly growing blonde hair draped over the edge toward the floor. She had the headphones to her iPod plugged into her ears and was listing to Nada Surf as she read 1984, a book that Lucas had leant her earlier that week.

She lay the book face down on her stomach when she thought she heard something. She studied the empty house for a moment before the knock came again. Pulling the headphones out of her ears, Peyton swung her legs back to the floor and stood up. She set the book and her music on the coffee table before going to the door.

She smiled when she saw Lucas and his basketball on the other side.
"Since when do you knock?" She teased.

[eck sorry i had some family issues]

Lucas twirled the basketball in his hands just as the door opened, a smile sliding across his face. Since when do you knock? He laughed softly. "Since..um...good point. Since today, I guess!" He said laughing slightly. Even though he saw her just the other day, he was having what he liked to call Peyton Withdrawls.

Taking a deep breath he scratched the back of his neck as he kept his eyes on her. "So what are you up to? Anything fun or exciting? Not that those two terms are ever very usable in Tree Hill.." He laughed softly, then smiling.
