AIM RP Thread//Haley & Peyton; He deserves to know the truth!
JustHaley23: It just another day in the hospital room of Haley James Scott. It had been almost three weeks since the accident happend and she was still stuck in that wretched bed. She hated it some of the time, other times she just suffered through it. She couldn't really go anywhere, so all day and night she stayed in the room, trying to keep herself busy.
podcastsawyer: Peyton had been visiting Lucas in the hospital everyday and they always chatted and laughed but one of the things she regretted not doing was visiting Haley more often. So when day she decided she should after Lucas had fallen asleep. She walked down to Haley's room and knocked lightly on the door.
JustHaley23: Just shutting the television off above her in the corner, she looked towards the door window and smiled a bit. "Come in, Peyton." She said cheerfully. She hadn't seen Peyton in a long time so she was glad she stopped by.
podcastsawyer: Peyton opened the door and walked in. "I see your watch dog isn't here right now," she said, smiling as she noticed Nathan wasn't sitting next to Haley.
JustHaley23: "Yeah, he's been everywhere. THe gift shop, but mostly the cafeteria. He hasn't eaten since the accident and I'm sure he's scarfing down as much food as he can" She laughed, moving over a bit so she had room to sit.
podcastsawyer: Peyton laughed, shaking her head of blonde curls. "How many teddy bears that say 'I wuv you' has he bought?" she asked as she sat down.
JustHaley23: Haley sat there pretending to think. She then pulled out her hand and started to count before snickering
podcastsawyer: "That many, huh?" she laughed. "Well it's good that he cares. I mean at least he isn't bribing you with jewelry that's really just an ownership collar. Your ring and stature pretty much do that on their own."
JustHaley23: Haley laughed. "Yeah true, but I swear...sometimes Nathan just..he goes a bit too far. one minute it's 'Can I fluff your pillows?' then the next, 'are you okay? you sure you sure?' and it's like NATHAN I'M OKAY" SHe chuckled a bit.
podcastsawyer: "Well he does more for you than he ever did for me and you deserve that. Besides, he feels really guilty about what happened and you're carrying his baby."
JustHaley23: Haley shooked her head. "I don't understand why he would.. He didn't really..do anything besides...work with Daunte..I mean he wasn't the one driving the car."
podcastsawyer: "I'm guessing he feels like he was," Peyton said quietly.
JustHaley23: Haley sighed a little. "I hate seeing so much pain in his eyes, Peyton." She began. "He puts on a smile and a laugh here and there and don't get me wrong, he's very good at it, but I can tell...he's hurting so much from this.."
podcastsawyer: "Have you talked to him about it? I mean I know that when I was dating him he was always brooding about his dad and it was all about him but I think now he's making it all about you and forgetting that sometimes he does need to talk about himself."
JustHaley23: "Yeah, we've talked..more like argued..but.. I don't know..he's hard to talk to sometimes" She sighed.
podcastsawyer: Peyton smirked. "Yeah, he definitely can be. But at least he's not as bad as Chris referring to himself in the third person and never shutting up."
JustHaley23: Haley laughed then thought about Chris coming to visit her last night and what they talked about. "yeah..speaking of Chris.. he came to see me last night"
podcastsawyer: Peyton raised an eyebrow. "Please tell me you didn't let him come in."
JustHaley23: She looked at her with a guilty look plastered all over her face.
podcastsawyer: "Did Nathan at least beat him up?" she asked, surprised.
JustHaley23: "Nathan wasn't here.." Haley responded quietly.
podcastsawyer: "So Nathan wasn't here and you let in the one guy that can send him into a whirling rage of jealousy?" Peyton asked slowly, almost not believing it.
JustHaley23: "Yeah... look it wasn't anything serious...plus..him and Chris..are..well sort of on the right page with each other.." She said in a soft voice. "..but it's not the first time he's come and Nathan wasn't here.." She said quietly.
podcastsawyer: Peyton's eyebrows rose under her hair. "Whoa, you're not like going behind Nathan's back and not telling him, are you?"
JustHaley23: "Well.. um...not...not..really.." She said feeling uncomfortable.
podcastsawyer: "Haley, you can't do that to him. You saw first hand what Lucas and I hiding our relationship from Brooke did. Not to mention what happened last time with Chris when you kissed him and went on tour! It tore him apart, you can't do that to him again!"
JustHaley23: "Peyton, it's not like I'm kissing Chris and secretly in love with him or anything. He's my friend..and plus.. I'm not the one doing the kissing here.." She sort of spilled out and had a look on her face.
podcastsawyer: "He kissed you?!" Peyton exclaimed, ready to stand up and yell at Haley for what she was keeping from Nathan but she managed to keep her cool.
JustHaley23: "Peyton..lower your voice..please..." SHe sighed. "I need to confide in you right now.."
podcastsawyer: "Okay, okay," Peyton said, taking a deep breath. "This is me... being quiet and listening. Now spill."
JustHaley23: "Well, last night, Chris and I talked...and I happend to sort of remember something from when he first visited me. You know how much drugs I was on..remember?" SHe asked her.
podcastsawyer: "Yeah, I remember," Peyton said, wondering what this was leading to other than the kiss.
JustHaley23: "Well, I asked Chris..if he kissed me..that night..because.. I knew.. I felt it..that he had kissed me.." She said cautiously. "..at first he denied it...then he admited to it.." She sighed. "I think...he still has feelings for me, Peyton"
podcastsawyer: Peyton's jaw fell open. "A-and how do you feel? I mean are you glad he does, are you scared he's going to try to break up you and Nathan... ?"
JustHaley23: Haley looked at her like she was going to cry. "I feel bad for him."
podcastsawyer: "You feel bad for the guy who nearly wrecked your marriage and almost made Nathan kill himself while driving a racecar?" Peyton asked quietly in disbelief.
JustHaley23: "It wasn't just him that nearly wreck my marriage, I was apart of it too.. and...I do.. I feel bad because.. I don't have the same feelings for him and believe me, I know how it feels when that someone stops loving you or shows no feelings." She said as a tear settled in her eye.
podcastsawyer: Peyton sighed. "I do too but Haley... come on, he's a dumbass! He throws everything he does with you in Nathan's face, making things up, gambles with money and everything else and you feel sorry for him? There are just.. so many other people who deserve your sympathy instead of him," she told Haley, thinking about what she had done to Jake, saying she wanted to marry him and be Jenny's mom when that night he heard her talking about Lucas in her sleep.
JustHaley23: "Okay.. he's not always a dumb ass...Peyton.. he opens up to me. He doesn't do that with anybody else.. not even with Rachel...I know he's done alot of bad stuff, but he does have a heart" She tried to reason with her then sighed looking the other way.
podcastsawyer: "So the guy has a heart, big deal, Haley! Dan Scott has a heart beating in his chest but the last time I checked he wasn't being a great dad to either Nathan or Lucas and he wasn't a great brother to Keith either. So who do you give a chance to? Every guy that walks down the street who acts like Chris and Dan or the guy who has made just one mistake while the rest of the time being the best person in the world?"
JustHaley23: Haley's head snapped back towards Peyton as a bit of anger showed through. "You know, I confided in you to talk to you and for your help! I didn't ask for you to bitch at me about how bad Chris is or How Dan isn't a good father. I don't appreciate you raising your voice in this room." She bit back. "If you were in the same situation, what else would you have done, huh? You'd be scared and clueless jsut like I am!" She added, angerly.
podcastsawyer: "What, you mean if Nathan told me he had feelings for me? Because that's the only way I would be in your situation and I know he would never say that to me. You can't just go and jerk him around like a puppet again, Haley. He deserves to know the truth, he deserves to know that Chris kissed you and has feelings for you and he deserves to know that you're thinking about being a friend to him. The last time you did this, Haley, I saw the worst version of Nathan I'd ever seen, even worse than the guy who was treating Lucas like crap last year and using you to tutor him to get to Lucas."
JustHaley23: "You think I don't know any of that?!" She screamed out. "I do know that I have to tell Nathan, I do know he deserves to know! What? You think I wasn't going to tell him? I know I have to and it scares me to death because I don't know what he'll do! I don't know for a fact that Chris has feelings, but I have the feeling he does. Maybe it's just a fake vibe, I don't know!! And for yout information, Peyton, Nathan already knows that Chris and I are friends." She snapped back, tears of anger falling down her face.
podcastsawyer: Peyton shook her head, "Yeah, he knows you're friends but he doesn't know that even if Chris doesn't have feelings for you, he wouldn't mind being friends with benefits. Look, maybe I'm the wrong person to be talking with about this because unlike Brooke, I've never been one for unexclusive relationships or anything like that. I'm more of a one-guy-always-tell-the-truth-or-feel-guilty-as-hell kind of girl. And yeah, sometimes it comes back to bite me in the ass and maybe it'll do the same to you when you tell Nathan but you have to do it, you just have to let it out, no ifs ands or buts. And when it's all out in the open, it'll be so much better than wondering and thinking what could happen when you do or if you don't, even if you have the biggest fight of your life and they want nothing to do with you."
JustHaley23: "I'm not stupid Peyton. I know all this and right now, I think you should leave." She said harshly, still angered at Peyton's accusations about Chris. She crossed her arms and looked the other.
podcastsawyer: "Fine, I'll leave," she said, standing up. "But if you don't tell Nathan the truth today, I will because he has to know before this goes too far."
JustHaley23: Haley didn't bother to look at she walked ot the door. Her mind was racing and her anger was slightly boiling.
podcastsawyer: Peyton walked back to Lucas' room shaking her head in disbelief at Haley's actions. She knew from the time capsule video how Nathan had felt, but that wasn't all he had felt when everything had gone down with her and Chris. If he didn't find out soon, she didn't know what he would do, but she certainly didn't want to be around to see it.
JustHaley23: After Peyton had left, Haley turned back towards the door, then angrily threw her pillow at it and broke down as she started to cry. She was scared. Scared to death. She didn't know how Nathan would react and she also felt like she betrayed Chris in his confidence with her. SHe held herface in her hands and cried out in anger and in fear.
