I believe it's high time that I start updating my blog again, preferably on a regular basis. And since I don't have a diary or calender this year in which I to record the movies I've watched, I'll do that here for now ( Read more... )

Hmmm, So what did you think of the previous movies? I loved the 1st one because of the skill that was put into it and the introduction of new things in regards to the horror industry (ie. simple sound/rumble to represent a demonic present instead of music). I have yet to see this movie but I am not sure I want to pay full cinema price, let alone matinee price. I may see it if it goes onto the dollar theaters.

As far as horror films go did you ever go see the Conjuring?

Yes, I think the idea of those movies is rather cool. It always seems to me like I am playing one of those "search the error in the picture" games, only that I keep looking for suddenly moving doors or lamps or shadows :)
I have to say, however, that this new movie lacks in this a bit.

And yes, I watched Conjuring, too, and liked it. I actually like the team who created it, since they also made Insidious, which is a great horror-movie, in my opinion.
I prefer it when the horror is more real - like when it's able to move furniture, instead of just driving people crazy by showing them visions no one else can see. Just as I prefer it when the heroes/victims do something about the threat - like calling a specialist or simply facing their past etc., that's much better than just to run around screaming "this can't be happening" ;)
Oh, and another good horror-movie is "Mama".
