Yes. I am even a little bit tired of seeing it in pictorial form! I must sound so cranky.

And, hello there! I didn't think that friendsfriends still existed! Shows how much I update these days. How's it going?

I wanna know how Armie Hammer exists too! I've watched some extended interviews of his and I just want to hug his parents and thank them for being able to raise their children in a world of plenty and not have them turn out to be spoiled brats. I'm so incredibly jealous of his wife, just sayin'.

I also think fandom is taking what is more than likely a self effacing, self-depricating Jesse Eisenberg and turning him in to an insecure Jesse Eisenberg. There is a difference. Watching the TSN special features, I see a very bright young adult who has a quirky sense of humor and outlook on life, not someone who's afraid of his own shadow. Being an actor is being secure enough in yourself to be someone else for however long it takes, whether it's on stage or on film. If you're insecure with yourself, you'll never make it past the first failed audition. And that is something I don't see Jesse doing.

OMG TL;DR MUCH? Sorry, bbcakes. I just have FEELINGS, y'know?

FAITH. That is everything I have wanted to articulate about Mr. Eisenberg, but could not. You are completely right about the difference between self-effacement and insecurity. Plus, even if the endless talk about therapy isn't part of his self-identified game of telling raucously fun lies to reporters during interviews, think of how much he's grown as a person in dealing with whatever he needs to get past if he's able to (1) talk about his experiences with therapy and using antidepressants with such openness and lack of shame and (2) to come this far and have this level of success and be able to cope with a press junket and fame with such grace and composure. It's impressive. I think we should all be impressed with that strength.

Oh my goodness. Armie Hammer. I am jealous of his wife, too. That man is incredible! He must be a part of a grounded family. You articulated that so well.

And not to mention that he's the quintessential NYC Jew - sardonic and sarcastic to a fault. For goodness sake, I live on the opposite side of the country and even I can see that ( ... )

I second platonic Jesse/Andrew! So. Much.
I love it when two guys are so incredibly sweet and gentle with each other without boning.

Yes, yes, yes! This, so much. One of my favorite fics is Poose's Neurotransmission (for which you'll need an A03 account to read), which is platonic and wonderful (and also triggery for panic attacks). And isn't it wonderful to just read about those kinds of relationships even existing? I love the idea of people being beautiful to each other without sex involved.

Oooh I know that one.
That was lovely. <3
And god yes, I'm a huge fan of Andrew and Jesse (or heck, Eduardo and Mark) being incredibly cute and bff-y and really, really close without any sex involved. Friendship-fics are love and way too rare.
