So that's how it ended. Thanks :) I had to miss the last fifteen minutes as I had to take my dog to bed and we don't have the bedroom hooked up to cable. *sighs*

Duuude, freaky...I totally called the Chimaera thing too, as I'd seen that documentary *and* they did something similar on an episode of CSI. The moment they did that "alien DNA" bit, I knew what it was. We ROCK.

More proof that I watch way too much tv.

Actually, the reabsorbed twin thing isn't as rare as you would think it is. Its just that in most people its an identical twin that gets reabsorbed, so the DNA is the same. BUt when it is different DNA, its called Genetic Mosaic. (It happens a lot in fruit and stuff - if you've ever seen an apple or something with a perfect line where its one colour on oneside and a different colour on the other, even if it has a graient going opposite around the apple from the line.)

Interesting.... it's the Von Willebrand's that I meant to call "insanely rare," though. Moreso in females, I think. And almost certainly in identical twin females since identicals are statistically unlikely in and of themselves (though if one has Von Willebrand's the other one obv would too)
