Wooo RPGs! ...and Stuff

Headed to Tampa tonight to play good ole Fuzzy Classic (That's what I'm calling old WOD Werewolf the Apocalypse now, btw) with the gang. I've been enjoying playing for the past month, and we're joining some bigger organization thing (hence the travel to Tampa). I'm playing a Child of Gaia Philodox, started as a cub and just finished my Rite of Passage last month. I'm really enjoying the character and the fact that I'm the only CoG in the local game...too many hippies would just make for lameness IMO. Still waiting on more cubs to 'rank up' so we can form a pack, right now its just me and Chuckles (playing a Red Talon Galliard no less). Tonight should be fun though. Haven't traveled for a LARP in a good while.

I've also been thinking of re-upping my Cam membership to start playing in Orlando's Forsaken and/or Mage games. Forsaken I'm not too impressed with, but I'd be going with Ted and that's always good times. Mage has always seemed pretty cool to me, and it'd give me an excuse to read that huge book that I've always meant to read but never have (hehe poor Promethean...you're even lower on the reading list). No idea what I'd play in either, but that shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. Feedback from current players on what the game's feel is, and what's lacking?

Just started a fresh campaign of D&D on Thursday nights (I'm running the game of course). I took what I considered a risk and said that all books were cool to use, and people could play whatever they wanted. What did I end up with? 3 Elves and 2 Humans so far (2 players haven't made characters yet), and 3 of the 5 are playing classes from the core book. I'm thrilled by this. Also, I saw more roleplaying out of one member who's normally a "just kinda there" player than I'd ever seen before (it's Ed, if you know him you understand my point). It ruled. Change is good, and everyone seems pretty excited to be starting over.

Looking forward to playing some Star Wars sometime soon. Just need more players for a Wednesday game. I even have a character idea lined up and everything (not a Jedi, even!)

Got to 70 on my priest in WoW, got a flying mount, thinking of trying to get enough for an epic one. Not playing as much now that I'm 70, just kinda having fun (also playing a BE Paladin named Despairre, as promised many moons ago). DS rules. I've been playing Pokemon(laugh if you will, but its damn fun) and Final Fantasy VI (god bless them for porting it!) All I need is Earthbound and Crono Trigger for the DS and It'll never be turned off again.

Been assembling lots of War Machine stuff and Hordes stuff, but not so much in the mood to paint as of late. I'll be trying to get back on that wagon once everything I own is assembled (that way I can at least play with it). My thumb is healing nicely from the last assembly-mishap(s) I had. Stabbed the bugger 4 times in the tip, twice with the knife(not so bad) and twice with the pin vice drill (oh my god did that hurt...especially cutting it back open to get the pewter remnants out the next day). Pirate mercs are ready to kick some booty and take some booty!

Oh, and Congratulations to Fred and Kelly on their marriage! Had a great time at the wedding, and the bachelor party wasn't too bad either.

I miss JT already. He needs to be back in Melbourne. It was cool hanging out with a different crowd this week, and I hope to keep hanging out with them on occasions too.

Scruffy Matt is the pro at the strip club. He outclassed all of us in his "I Support Single Moms" T-shirt, and made us look like newbies with his mad, mad dollar-givin' skills.

Oh, and to document it for the annals of time, I got an apology from Kent Wall yesterday, for being a total douche and generally fucking up everything with the War Machine league. I was shocked. I apparently don't handle apologies well, I'm better at holding the grudge hehe.

weasal!, big fuzzy!, j-tears, games!, hawaiian shirt friday!, kent apology!, larping!
