Chris Benoit was never one of my favorite wrestlers, honestly. I've always been more of a fan of the faster moving high fliers over the technical guys. Even so, I can respect the hell out of Chris Benoit. He was an amazing technical wrestler and he looked like the most professional guy out there. No nonsense, no backstage politics, just a guy who wanted to wrestle and do it well. He put on good matches, he could sell injuries and the like better than 90% of the rest of the business.
I want to know what would bring him to do something like this. I want to know why. I don't claim to have known him personally, but from watching him perform, hearing other fans who have met him and from seeing the interviews with other wrestlers, this doesn't sound at all like Chris Benoit. Its a damn shame that wwe.com has taken down the memorials from the other superstars, probably because it was revealed to be a murder-suicide.
I just wanted to say that Chris Benoit will be missed. Rest in Peace, Crippler. You will be missed.
I refuse to believe that Chris did this, and will continue to until the investigations are through. As far as I am concerned, its just a tragedy all around. He definitely will be missed.
