Losing weight is a worthy goal; especially since I know you work out to sub in muscles. Lower amounts of caffeine, once your body adjusts to it, isn't too odd a thing. I had more of a pain when I switched to diet cola as a way of eliminating at least a fourth of my daily calorie intake. (Yeah, I was the bad joke... #4 super sized from McD's with a diet coke. But it's a relatively easy switch to make.)
You're fully capable. I'd check on your ankle while you're seeing whomever for your ear; Dr.s don't seem to enjoy statements like: "this has been bugging me for about 17 years now but wasn't bad enough for me to talk about until recently". Oh, and if I can figure out how I lost 10 pounds last month without doing anything, I'll pass the info on to you. I'm just hoping it doesn't involve some kind of worms...
