I reprint here, in full, a dispatch from Beirut, Lebanon, written by an Earlham professor. Obviously, barring a miracle, he will not be teaching this semester.

thanks for posting this in full-- we are keeping tabs on Saoud through earlhamites also. Apparently, at least, Earlham/Plowshares is going to be paying him even if he can't get back.

Never thought I'd say it, but God bless Earlham. Surely, Saoud is doing excellent work in Lebanon, and even if he never escapes, that money will assist him to serve the Lebanese people.

that, and it's a relief to see an institution doing something that is morally right for once, especially with regard to this war.
