Yeah, I agree with her about the education. Still, perhaps my shying away from the idea is a pure gut instinct, but I think the prayer idea is really so much more important.
Another odd note from the emotional one: Would it be possibly to not use the word "vigil"? It's appropriated by everyone and their brother. Maybe I am just nuts. I think it's also that Earlham tends to be on vigil overload. At least when you advertised you could be more descriptive in what you call it, even if in its truest sense it is actually a vigil. Wow, putting that in words makes me feel even more insane. Well, take it or leave it.
I like Marya's idea about having churches develop on their own. This is really about planting the seeds, you know? There's no shortage of information. There's no shortage of victims. People need to take time to think about what they're not seeing (or not giving conscious thought to) in their world, but which is happening every three minutes. And, very frankly, survivors need their prayers.
