Ah, thank you! Between finals (and a slight emergency) the month of June kept me away from the computer; looks like the other mod had similar issues. :( Back now, though
( ... )
I definitely see where you are coming from the tags standpoint. It is a great thing that we can track them on our own both on tumblr and AO3; otherwise it would complete chaos for someone to try and sort out what's being posted where and for what reasons. I asked about AO3 because while I post all my stories there, on ffnet and on LJ, I don't think you guys follow every fic-posting LJ comm, one of those being ksm_ot3 where I post my Kirk/Spock/McCoy stories. So I started to wonder if when I post the story would be picked up from AO3 instead, since a lot of the links are coming from there nowadays anyway. That led me to question how you were following what goes up on AO3. It makes more sense to me now that you have explained!
And I just want to thank you for what you do, because it's important. I check this newsletter at least once a week to see what's going on in the fandom. :)
Tumblrs tags are so worthless, it's insane. I don't think we could really track things posted to tumblr even if we wanted to, tbh. Bless the people who run various "fuckyeahs" and try to compile all the posts they can onto one blog. :'| Doing gods work.
Added "ksm_ot3" to our watchlist!
We don't actively check for new comms, so if there's ever anything new that you'd like for us to keep track of (even a personal fic journal! only rules for us watching a comm or personal journal is that it has to have ST stuff and that it can't be locked!) just give us a heads up and we'll start tracking it! :)
Glad that we're still useful for you! :) Newsletters are just about all I use my f-list for anymore as well, so I totally feel you.
