Slight Introduction
Ensign Jackie Spencer was making her way very carefully and slowly through the corridors of the Enterprise, weaving her way through various personell. Her arms were full of various items, all for Dr. McCoy and sickbay. She paused, her pen in her mouth because she had no pockets, steadying a shaky stack of information disks with the side of her hand before they took a spill.
All of the other techs who worked in sickbay thought she was crazy enjoying schlepping for the doctor, but Jackie thought it was cool doing anything on this ship. It was a Trekkie dream come true and she was going to learn as much as possible while she still could. She was already making progress at using a medical tricorder and a couple of the guys in engineering had been training her for fixing different panels with the clear plastic-looking equivalent of a sautering iron.
As she neared the turbolift, the monotonous hum of activity on the ship suddenly grew quiet. Jackie paused as the turbolift disappeared from in front of her and her whole scenery changed.
She spit out the pen onto the stack in her arms. "Ok...that's a bit disconcerting." There didn't seem to be anyone around her right now. Where had everyone gone? Where had the SHIP gone?
".....hello? Anyone there?"
