Yesterday I planted the Texas Bluebonnet seeds from cfohunny  in the front garden bed. She said in Texas they are basically weeds and the packet said they love to be neglected in poor soil so in my opinion the front bed was the best place for them. I am daring them to grow. *g* That bed has been doing pretty good, all things considered. I'm not putting ( Read more... )

wow, that sunflower did get really big. i like the photos of the other flowers too.

Oh! Texas Bluebonnet is so pretty.
Somewhere in Texas, LBJ's wife had wild flowers growing. You come around a bend in the road and there's a whole pasture full of them. It's so beautiful.

Oh, those Texas blue bonnets look quite pretty in pictures on seed packets. I've never tried to grow them here in Kentucky.

The bloom in the first pic appears to be a strawflower and the 2nd and 3rd photos are Gaillardia.

That sunflower has a nice center.

I just throw them out there and dare them to grow. Why won't they grow by you?
