Okay, this is probably going to sound ridiculous, but hear me out. Do you ever have those moments when you look at an animal/your pet, and you just get overwhelmed with feelings because wow they're a different species completely, but somehow we've learned to adapt to each other and live together and love each other and even communicate? And it's just really fucking cool? (Maybe it's just me, idk)

But okay, I'd like something similar with Kirk just being overwhelmed and amazed with Spock. Just little moments where he's forced to remember that they're different species, from completely different planets, and that in another time they would have never been able to meet at all, that they literally had to cross the universe to find each other. They're so different, but what they have in common is each other.

I don't know, just kill me with feelings.
