Haven't done all that reading of it yet. And I'll be critical, as I've gone for a long time with no universe specific material actually owned by me (_Over the Edge_ being the only other one). System is written with personality, but it encourages one-trick, "esty" characters during creation. I've seen too many games where characters can't fail rolls in their bailiwick, and can't succeed outside of them; having half the players useless at all times doesn't make for a good game, particularly if the fighting types decide to turn the current situation to something more of their specialty.
That reminds me of a story I heard - and was told was true and I could believe it but I never checked up as if fact.
I've heard most of the Firefly actors really like the fans. At a big convention (I believe out west), someone was running a Firefly game - and just for the hell of it, told Nathan Fillion about it during the autograph session - and I'm told he came to play.
Though I'd be a bit nervous as the GM... How could you tell Nathan Fillion what Mal would or would not do? ;)
