Really interesting idea. With school, finals and other December things happening I'm not sure I'd be able to successfully participate, but it's still very enticing. I'd feel like counting work I do for classes wouldn't be quite as honest, haha.
I think it actually is a pretty good time (aside from a summer vacation month) because while there are finals, for most that won't be art related and it's not really the finals part that would make it hard for me, but the fact that I'd already be making art especially rigorously and making more art is an almost nauseating thought sometimes LOL.
But I like the idea of being tasked to make art "on the side" as well as for classes, too, and 10 minute sketches aren't particularly grueling!
This seems like a fun idea! Is there any way to make it a big event before December? obviously not as big as NaNoWriMo, but at least so it grabs a lot of people into it? Maybe an LJ community or a website, idk. :D;
Personally I'd attempt to draw everyday for it, but I might not get around to it every day. .__.
There seems to be a lot of interest, so I might start a community or throw together a quick website for it! I wonder if the NaNo comm on LJ would let me advertise it..
I definitely need to keep working on illustration sheeit, so count me in! There was an LJ group for something similar to this, but you had to choose a focus, which turned me off. I need to draw what I need to draw and they aren't all related. @_@

I realise December is kind of a bad time to host something like this, but I wanted to do it myself as soon as possible.
