e, i drove briefly through richmond with jackie and sarah the other day and they showed me your apartment! it looks beautiful! i also heard that you're working for the spca. congratulations - it sounds like a cool job. i'm definitely looking forward to having more chances to hang out with you and everyone else who plans to be in richmond! i'll keep you posted on when i'm going to be in town (could still be a while, depending on the job hunt).

OMG is like everyone moving to richmond? I thought you were having fun wallowing in indecision??! Why don't you reconsider, and add like 10 more destination cities to the mix? That should occupy you for a while....a while in which you might move back to NOVA!!!!

hey juliette,
check out idealist.org for jobs in Richmond with non-profits. It's a really great resource. Jess says hello, too. hope all is well.

hey rebecca!! i'm glad to hear that baltimore is working out for you! i've actually been looking at the public health program at johns hopkins. it's really awesome. taylor's uncle works at hopkins, though i don't remember what he teaches. i wonder if you know him -- a professor ball? anyway, i am totally interested in e-mailing your dad! i hope he doesn't mind if i ask him a few questions - for the last year i've been running a spanish-language safety and health program at the construction company i work for, and i'm interested in talking to people who have careers in public health to learn more about the field. thanks for offering to put me in touch!
give me a call sometime -- heather and katy have my number -- i would love to come visit you in baltimore once i'm living up closer to maryland! it's good to hear from you :)

dear penpal,
1. I know a vast ammount of Hispanic high school boys, I'll think a/b one who would like to penpal it, though unfortunately I'd have to do a great deal of convincing.

2. I laugh at how similar our lives are (and at what we call fun).

3. I wish you could come to our talent show tonight...a duranguense dance, Shakira dance, photography display from my beautiful high school kids, what more could you want?

4. Also, an adendum (sp?) to my NNK invitation: forties on a pontoon boat on the river in Westmoreland county. You just say the word,I have the inside hookups.=)

dear penpal,
i am so glad that i met you! even though we haven't technically met, it's still great to know there's someone else out there dancing to bachata and getting excited about high school talent shows! and though i was already psyched to visit the northern neck, forties on a pontoon makes me want to drop what i'm doing and already be there... isn't summertime the best?
