To be entirely honest

I want a girlfriend. These moods never really hit me that often, and I don't care normally, but I'm just gonna be upfront, I've never had one. Ya, everyone will say how cute it is that I waited later or some bull crap like that, but I feel like I'm getting left in the dust. Like everyone is experiencing something and I'm missing out. I really don't ( Read more... )

Bummer man. I remember my raging hormones in High School. I think I asked out every girl I thought was cute, and only had one say yes. While I think it was a good learning experience, I don't think you're missing that much. In the grand scheme of life High School dating is mostly a joke. I would say, know what you're looking for, and if you find her, go for it. I think there are a couple kinds of people in High School when it comes to dating. A) People that date too much and will never have a steady relationship. B) People that date the same person for 4 years only to realize their first year of college that their lives are going in different directions. Then their are people like you Trent, which I think is most people. For whatever reason, you never hook up with someone. I was one person away from being that person, so I would say there is nothing wrong with you at all.

As for the gay thing, you know who you are, and we know who you are. Don't let people's misconceptions screw with that.

Thanks Nathan. I think its just that I'm a little jolted and things are getting to me. Lame teenage stuff. I'm sure its no big deal.

I set up a blogger, but I was gonna ask you how to add links to frineds pages and stuff.

Very awesome! As far as I know you still have to edit your template. The easiest way to do that is copy other people. :)

Go to Kevin's (Multioptipupiloptomy) blogger and go to the top in Firefox or Internet Explorer and click View and then Page Source. That will show you all the html mumbo jumbo. Then scroll all the way down until you see the links to the blarg and amy's page and all that. Then you just have to copy and paste that stuff to the same spot in your own template.

I wish it was a little easier, but you'll get the hang of it, and learn a little about html in the process. I haven't used blogger in a long time though, so maybe Amy or someone can give some more input. You beat Paddy to it, haha.

yeah, i'd be glad to show you my setup, trento, if you need some help getting started. blogger is rad. and hey, don't worry about the dating thing. i know it's way easier said than done. but nathan is right...relationships in high school, in general, can be pretty retarded. that's not to say that you're retarded for wanting one. God created us to be in relationship with him and with each other. so what you're feeling is natural. but you know there's nothing wrong with being the guy who gets "left in the dust" as you put it, in high school. it's just one of those things that it seems like hardly anybody's ever satisfied with, no matter which end of the spectrum they're on. i was very fickle in high school. i went out with quite a few different guys, and ended up hurting a lot of them, just because i didn't really know what i wanted going into it. i just knew i wanted some kind of companionship. and i still carry some baggage, some regret, with me because of my carelessness. high school seems like an unfair time in life.
