I have nine days before I leave on what I hope will be the greatest adventure to date. I can finally be happy and talk about my trip without feeling sad or bad about Papa, spending time with my family, school, or not having time to see friends. I have seen everyone in my family and I have a working car that enables me to see all of my friends. I

Ah, but Africa doesn't have the "same natural resources, geography, and loan regulations". Specifically, geography, one of the definitive sources that have brought wealth to most countries through ages past. Africa lacks the harbors of Europe, it lacks navigable inland rivers, et cetera. Up until the 20th century, water dictated wealth.

Either way, congrats on the internship, I hope it's everything you want and more. Enjoy the journey :)
