So my company is changing its compensation program. It's played up like a big awesome change for employees, but when you cut through the spin, it's more of a cost-cutting program than anything else. The peons are getting screwed again

Of course, due mostly to factors outside my control, I made 50% less than the previous year.
And I am sure that was their goal.

I find it annoying that every time there's an announcement about benefits, or pay, or bonuses that it's always for the worse. Even in record-breaking good years, they still feel the need to make negative changes.
