No, I haven't dropped off the face of the planet.  I've just been very busy with job search preparations.

I have a new photo.  Since the previous one was about two years old, I thought it was time for an update.

This morning I had the house power-washed.  This was Task Number One on my Between-Jobs To Do list.  I'm very glad to be able to check this task off the list.  My house looks like a different house now!  Even my neighbor across the street commented on how good it looks.

I have the power!

The replacement battery charger cord for my cell phone arrived today!  I wasn't expecting it until Wednesday.  And it is the correct item!!  My cell phone is now fully charged again!!  Yay!!  Two thumbs up for my carrier; Consumer Cellular!!

Steve had a free movie rental coupon from BlockBuster that expired yesterday so we used that instead of watching my Netflix DVD.  We watched The Italian Job (2003) with Charlize Theron.  I thought it was awful!  I hated seeing the crooks hurting so many other innocent people and not getting punished for it.  I went ahead and gave it a rating of one ( Read more... )

Rats!!  Talk about stupid!!  When I turned in my BlackBerry and all the accessories, I sent everything --- including the battery charger cord for my personal cell phone!  Grrr!!

I am now BlackBerry-less.  I had planned to turn it in tomorrow but I decided to go ahead and do it today and be done with it.

I also ordered my new "business" cards today.  As part of my "termination package", I get three months with a professional "career transition assistance" service.  New "business" cards are included as part of this deal.

Today will not be a normal day but it will be the last day at the office that will even be close to a normal day.  Tomorrow will be the big final shipment of everything.  Then I will walk out the doors for the last time.

Yesterday Steve and I watched The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009).  I didn’t think it was all that bad.

Another shattered illusion.  I learned yesterday that a couple I know are divorcing.  Apparently the last four years have been rough.  I had no idea.  I was very shocked when I heard the news.  They have been married for over 20 years.  I thought they were happy.  I'm sorry they were not as happy as I thought they were.
