I've been meaning to update a couple of different times with overlapping entries that have been sitting in a txt file on my desktop but I'm not going to do that yet. Meh...
Today is only Tuesday and the rest of the week could go downhill really fast but HOORAY! It was a very good Monday. I had some things on the computer that I wanted to work on and instead completed. I also managed to watch some Netflix, talked to a friend from college, exercised, bought groceries, and helped my cousin out by cleaning the stove. All in all a great day.
To break it down. Abi was one of my closest friends outside a couple of brothers from the fraternity I joined in college. We met through a student group called Student Video Productions (SVP) and just randomly began hanging out. Abi is originally from India and currently back there living in Delhi. It was fun between us because besides going out to the bar and having these random and odd conversations, we would swear racial epithets during lunches, walking between classes, or just upon seeing or greeting each other. The looks on people's faces were priceless because we would really get into it in a very dry sardonic way that to an outsider was more than off putting because they'd think we were serious. Needless to say, yesterday I struck up a conversation with him over Facebook chat and he in turn called me immediately once he verified my phone number. A shock to me considering the fact that he was calling from Delhi which is an 11 1/2 hour time difference. It was really good considering we hadn't talked in 3-4 years.
As much of a Nerd as I am, I was excited to find out that Netflix now has three seasons of Farscape. I watched the show briefly back and forth during its run on TV but unfortunately didn't get to catch the majority of it. So after not finding much on Netflix up until recently this is a very good surprise. I'm finding that I've seen a lot of the first season already and after doing a bit of watching and reading, I found out that the show was shot in Australia. An odd revelation for myself was that the lead is American and was the only character to appear in every episode. Ben Browder is his name and he made the transition over to SG1, along with another Farscape alum named Claudia Black. I always like seeing people bounce back and forth from series to series, whether it's guest spots or full on transitions. From Eureka to Warehouse 13, Farscape to SG1, Andromeda to SG1, and so on and so forth.
Things just been good, December is shaping up.
Later Folks...
