A/N: What can I say, the DA pic inspired me.
"Why don't you just lop it off?" he asked, in that annoyingly self-important tone of his. "It would probably make it easier to play - not to have it whipping behind you and all that." He was mocking her. The arrogant bastard.
She grew it out just to spite him. And to prove that she could kick his ass at Quidditch...long hair or no.

She had no idea why he made her feel so damn competitive. Even snogging seemed to be a contest; they went at it hard, fast, with all the determination of warriors determined to win.
Whoever was best - the fastest at drawing appreciative moans from the other - was deemed victor. But even losing wasn't all that bad, when she thought about it.

"You're practically a boy," he said, wrinkling his nose at her.
She glared at him, and before thinking (it seemed like a good idea at the time), climbed on top of him, straddling his lap. He scowled when he reacted physically, as if his body had betrayed him.
"If I'm practically a boy, I reckon that makes you homosexual," she said with a smirk.

"Get that stuff outta my face," he said from behind her, swiping at her ponytail. She leaned back as far as she could, so that her hair was splayed over his desk.
He made an annoyed noise in the back of his throat, but did nothing. Ginny smiled to herself, feeling victorious.
It was only after class, when she tried to stand up, that she realized he'd used a Super Sticking Charm on her hair.
