Raincoats

Does anyone even wear raincoats anymore? I don't think I've seen anyone wear a raincoat for years, no matter how heavy the rain is. I think people just use umbrellas, which I find is a sufficient anti-rain tool. I just don't get why you'd put this big plastic bulky thing on to protect you from rain. I have a raincoat, but it's more like a snow jacket than a plastic thing. I wear it to keep warm when it's raining heavily.

I enjoyed this post, and those are very good questions. I've seen people working outdoors (council, lollipop lady, etc) and school kids wearing raincoats, but besides that.. nope.

I find raincoats more effective, but there's those valid points you brought up about it being bulky and wet on the outside. Not very useful once you take it off. =s

Yeah, cos umbrellas, you can do the whole shakey thing with it to help minimise it's water to umbrella ratio. Not that raincoats even have a water to umbrella ratio. And a lot of umbrellas also fold up into a compacted size, so you can easily store it...lol.

We didn't wear raincoats when we went to that party at Lennox. We just got hypothermia.
