I have always heard that college is a land of infiite possibility, but that human beings are creatures of limited resources. Of all the things you could choose to do in one day [eat, sleep, go to class, study, have a social life, watch tv, practice your instrument, write music, research your term paper, read 480 pages for one class, etc...], you only have the time and energy to do about five of them. Choosing which ones to do is terribly frustrating. And having to let one thing slide for a little while does not make you inadequate. I don't know if this makes any sense, but I thought it might help. We've all been in the same boat at one point or another.

I don't know how it is a UA, but most of the time incompletes won't hurt you. I know people who have carried incompletes on their transcript for several semesters, and it was fine.
