You probably won't have to worry about it after acorn is born, either, for quite a while. I didn't get one until Xander was 18 months old! So that was nearly 30 months of no period! Yay! Add that to Kayli's 10 months inside, and some number of months afterwards, and that was nearly 4 years of no period! Yay!

Ha! That's for the "lucky" ones. Some of us get our periods again within 8 weeks. Joy. I know I'm in the minority but that at least entitles me to whine about it, especially at certain times of the month....

Oh, man, I sure hope my experience is closer to cyberdryad's! Though heck, if I hit the mid point between 8 weeks and 4 years, I'd still be delighted!

You have my sympathies--I'm sure that first period at 8 weeks was a ugly shock!

I understand the relief. Both of them, actually. I was pretty panicked about Jack's health in utero. I'm glad you don't need the amniocentisis, even. Tho the worst part of mine was the doctor and Tenzil cracking jokes while the 3-foot needle was _in_, and me having to not laugh.
