Who: Delta and Jack Ryan.
Where: The Lux's rooftop.
When: Late tonight, around 2 AM.
Summary: Two insomniacs chat it up?
Rating: PG.

Sleep. The notion of rest was a bit difficult for Delta to grasp. He often slept for only a few hours a night and woke up extremely easily. As if on cue, he snapped back to awareness at around two. For a while he stayed on the room's slightly modded bed, but within ten minutes he snuck out to get some fresh air. It was hard to not wake others up, as the gentle glow from his faceplate could cause light sleepers some distress.

Tonight the coast looked clear. It was almost every evening he ventured out to the rooftop's stairs, and it was always a struggle to minimize the creaking of the floorboards caused by his substantial weight. Warily he opened the door at the top of the stairs, still trying to make as little noise as possible. The night air blasted him, but it was warm and not at all uncomfortable. The stars were always a wonder for someone who's lived so much time under the waves. He moved to glance at them, but his eyes stopped at an odd splot of black along the very edge of the rooftop.

Upon further inspection, it was human shaped. Who else would be out here during this hour? A single step was taken towards the figure, but he then stopped in his tracks. Whoever it was, they likely wanted to be alone, and likely had noticed the yellow light flickering across the flat expanse of the rooftop. Maybe he should leave, but for the moment he just stood there like a statue.
