I can't say I'm thrilled by the choice for Doctor Who, but it's not James Nesbitt, so I can safely carry on watching :) I really hope this new guy is great (his hair is a little too much like Noel Fielding's, and I don't like him very much, but that's not the end of the world, lol)! And yes, thank god it's a guy; call me old-fashioned, but I like ( Read more... )

Although there are quite a few actresses out there that speak to my inner lesbian, I just don't think there'd be the attraction for the Doctor that I have now if he were a she. Unless, of course, her companion ended up being a nice looking lad. :)

I hope he's great too. At the moment I just know I'm going to miss David Tennant.

I only caught the last 12 minutes of the Confidential by accident - glad I did! Don't know this guy at all so I'm curious to see him in action.

I'll miss David, that's for sure!

Yeah, I was glad he wasn't she too! Just wouldn't work for me. Also glad it wasn't James Nesbitt, but I never thought it would be. I can now think of dozens of men I'd rather it had been, up to and including Paterson Joseph, and I hadn't even thought about him doing it until yesterday! Ah well. I'm sure the wee chappy will grow on us, despite his Youf (someone on another forum said 'Oh noes! They cast a zygote!' which amused me) and we still have 4 more hours of Tenth.

Next Christmas is going to be a weepy, though, innit?
