From HereAs Ellie walked away from Jack's room, the tears just kept coming. She wanted to find Alice, to confide in her sister all the pain that was in her right now. But Ellie hadn't seen her sister all day, and in her present state, she wasn't about to go looking for her either. All she could hope for is that her sister turned up soon

Salene walked over and sat down next to Ellie, watching her for a moment before speaking, "Ellie? Honey what's wrong?" Salene put a comforting hand on her back and gave her a gentle rub, "What happened, who did what to you?" This statement, how could they do this to me, alarmed Salene. Who had done what to Ellie? She'd be sure to give them an earful! Only, sometimes Ellie was a bit, over reactive to some things, so Salene wanted to make sure that this was serious before she went off on a rampage. Her mind instantly landed on Jack and Luke, and she sighed, she hoped this wasn't about them, but it was a sticky situation, one Ellie would have to make hard choices over, and for just a moment Salene really hoped that Ellie wasn't in a state over them right now.

Ellie was a little startled by Salene's emergence. She hadn't known that people were around. Sure it was the mall and there was always someone around, but Ellie thought that she was alone. Harshly wiping away her tears, Ellie tried to calm down a bit before facing Salene. Taking slow breaths, she tried to respond.

"Salene, I don't know what to do. I went to apologize to Jack, and he, he told me that Luke and him are going to ignore me. Until I make a decision." A decision. This aspect never really hit her as hard as it did now. If - no when she choose, what were the chances that both Jack and Luke would stay in her life. Her choice would also cost her a friendship. That was a risk Ellie wasn't exactly thrilled to take.

Ellie sighed. "I'm really scared, but I know that eventually I'll have to make a decision. But for them to ignore me? I just can't believe they would do something like that."

Salene set her jaw, frowning heavily, that was entirely unfair of both of them, what were they playing at? Ellie was already in an emotionally fragile state, it was never easy to choose between two guys, Salene herself knew that the best, and rejection could really mess with a girls mind. Salene knew Ellie was delicate at times, she'd almost jumped from the roof not a year ago, before the Techno's took her away. Whatever they had done to her certainly couldn't have helped, though Ellie and Jack were in the same camp, at least, that was the understanding Salene had. "Ellie shh shh honey it's ok," she comforted, hugging her

Ellie showed a small smirk at Salene's joke about pasta fights, and gave her a small, hug to show her thanks before responding. "Thanks for siding with me Salene, and if I could, I wouldn't choose either of them. But I love them both, that's what makes this so hard." Ellie sighed, slightly relieved that she finally told someone that.

"I don't know if I'll be able to choose, Salene. Your right, I was ready to do anything to get Jack back when he was taken. But I had just lost Alice, and Luke had left, and I just couldn't handle another loss." She looked down, and paused for a moment, trying to find the right words. "I know I've loved Jack longer, and that he is - was my best friend, but there's something about Luke that I just can't ignore. Even after he left, I couldn't help but still have feelings for him

Luke practically ran downstairs from his room in his mission to get to Ellie's room before Jack could stop him. He was so caught up in the conflicting mass of chaos that were his thoughts, that he passed by the bench and Ellie without giving Ellie any more than a second glance.

Luke had almost reached her room when he realized that he had just passed her. Luke wheeled around and walked towards the bench. Ellie's face was slightly red and her cheeks were slightly puffed up. If Luke didn't know any better, he would have guessed that Ellie had just been crying. Luke shuddered, remembering Ellie sobbing in his dream. "Ellie?" he hazarded. "Ellie, can I talk to you?"

Ellie had watched Salene get up and head up towards the Cafe. 'Dinner? I haven't eaten all day; I better head up soon before it’s all gone. But what about Jack and Luke? I really want to think this through...'

While she was contemplating whether to head to her room or up to the Cafe, Luke ran by, and Ellie had to shove the idea that he was heading to her room out of her head. 'Luke's made a promise to ignore me, so its obviously not me he's looking for. The way he just ran by, its like he doesn't even see me anymore'These thoughts were banished when Luke backtracked, and slowly approached her. Unsure how to answer his request, Ellie stood up slowly, using the bench for support. She faced Luke, but refused to look up at his eyes, slightly afraid of what she would see

"Ellie wait!" Luke cried after her. "That's not true!"

It was no use, Ellie had already gone into the Main Cafe and out of earshot. Luke cursed in a not-so-soft voice. He wanted to run up to the Cafe and make Ellie listen to him, but after the lunch incident he wasn't about to have half the mall on his case. His gaze turned from the Cafe towards Jack. Luke marched up the stairs until he was just inches from Jack's face. "Jack," Luke started. "You are an idiot! I never agreed to anything!"

With that Luke turned around and walked into the Main Cafe.

People kept walking by him, and he strained to hear what they were saying, the cries of Brady forcing him to inch closer, and disallowing him to hear any words coming from either of them. Jack cursed under his breath, turning to shoot eye daggers up the stairs at the small one, and Lex, who came storming down to his room, and when he turned around, Ellie was there. "Well, I, I mean, I you, no, Ellie!" He mumbled out as she walked away up the stairs. He took a few steps up, "Come on Ellie, you..you've gotta listen to me I was ju-" and then Luke was there, denying his agreement. Baffled, Jack stood there, unsure of whether he should come or go, or where he should go, and his stomach protested, he hadn't really eaten all day, and he couldn't deny himself any longer. Jack marched up the stairs after Luke, this was just turning out to be a no good day, no good at all!
