Staring at her ceiling, Ellie's thoughts drifted back in time showing scenes and tidbits of her days with Jack and Luke. First, she thought about all the happy times with Jack. Their first kiss, working on The Amulet together, up to how she felt when he got captured by the Chosen. 'It always felt so right with Jack..' she couldn't help but thinking. Then she flashed to her short days with Luke, and how somehow, he was able to make her forget about her feelings for Jack. 'If I really loved Jack, how could that have happened?' As some of the other scenes started to swirl together, on scene became prominent. It was her and Jack. He was about to leave for his "mission" with Ebony, extremely hopeful that it would help take down the Technos. He gave her his lucky whistle, and a kiss goodbye before he left. That was the last she had seen of him until they were at the Techno Camps together. But the whistle...Jack's lucky whistle. That was still here

After Ellie had slipped out of Jack's Room, she returned to hers, only to start second guessing her choice. Pacing, she started talking to herself. "I can see it now. Jack will take it the wrong way. Then he'll hate me forever and never speak to me again. That just can't happen. I should go back. If he's still sleeping, he won't even know it was there."
As Ellie started to leave her room again, she saw Jack leave his and head upstairs. Going back into her room, she leaned against her wall, trying to figure out what to do next. "He's seen it, and he'll never talk to me again, I know it. I have to try and explain to him. It seems like I've been doing a lot of explaining...That's because I always do stupid things. But Jack. Maybe he went up to get breakfast. I'll just go to the Cafe, and if he'll listen to me, I'll just try to tell him why I gave his lucky whistle back."
With that, Ellie left her room again, and headed up to the Cafe
