[OOC - continued from HERE]

Mouse heard May follow her and then the question - "Where are you taking us by the way?" - Well, duh...

"We're going to find Salene." She told May. To trust her or not to trust her? The question kept going through her head. If May was still involved in the Game that was a bad thing. She could be involved in Salene ( Read more... )

May glanced up at the sky, night was beginning to fall, and she wasn't sure she wanted to be caught after dark out of the Mall. "Okay. You obviously have a clear idea of where you want to go. But how far are we planning on going?" They were already leaving the city streets behind for the wilderness beyond it. Wilderness. May rolled her eyes. The city streets she knew, but out here was kind of beyond her. "We shouldn't be out too late, Mouse. The city streets are unforgiving after dark." Though they might look like a picnic walk after Amber finishes with me for letting Mouse out of the Mall to look for Salene.

"I know my way around, May." Mouse told her with just a little attitude in the statement. "You don't have to come, you know. I can get there and back without a problem." She had noticed it was getting dark and strange things could happen at night, but she was sure she could make it in no time what so ever...as long as May quit bothering her!

"I know Salene will be out here! Pride and her went out this way once. So if she didn't come to the Mall where else would she go?" Mouse had decided to tell May since she insisted on following her.

They soon were out among some trees and tall grass. Just a little further...

May didn't have the heart to tell the little girl that there was little chance that they would find Salene out here. If she was able Salene would have been back at the Mall by now. She wouldn't have left them all to worry like this.

She jumped as some grass stirred near her. What kind of animals were out here anyway? She had of course been beyond the city before, but not for awhile. And almost never at night. But despite Mouse's confidence she wasn't going to leave her alone out here. Or to find her way back to the Mall on her own.

"Alright, Mouse." She pulled her jacket around her a little closer and coughed. "We'll take a look." She was getting a headache.

They had been walking quite some time Mouse knew and her legs were getting tired, but she was determined to get there. When they came across the small clearing with the log - empty - Mouse gave a defeated sigh and sat down. She couldn't tell May that she didn't expect to find Salene here. She had HOPED to find her, but didn't expect it...

"I want Salene back!" She yelled into the growing dark woods.
