Location - In the Nursery

Mouse heard BabyB crying and watched the big guy go into the nursery. BabyB didn't know him, Mouse was sure and wouldn't stop crying that easily. She rushed past everyone into the Nursery although she didn't ever want to go back there

Lex took Siva by the hand and joined Ryan by the window. "What's up?"

Siva glanced at the man next to Lex. "Who's he," she whispered.

Mouse had thought about trying to get BabyB off of...what's his name? Ryan?...but suddenly noticed that someone was missing from the Nursery. "Uhm...Siva...where's Nanny?"

Siva turned pale. "Nanny? Um...Nanny..."

May decided that Ryan wouldn't have called them all into the room for nothing. She followed the others in and went to look out the window as well. She saw Bray surrounded by Chosen. "Oh, boy, he's totally lost it." She said, truly afraid for the first time.

Dax stayed in the hallway, whatever they were after it didn't have anything to do with him. He heard rushing and screaming and people were headed their way, "Guards are comin," he called out, "They must have an alarm on that door," he stood to the side of the stairs, he would now fight alongside the Mall Rats, they were going to get out of here if it was the last thing he did! He owed it to them! Dax held his spear at the ready, waiting for someone to come up the stairs....

Cloe went up to Dax and showed him her wrist. "Let me help. Please. You helped Mouse and I thank you for it."

Dax clapped her on the shoulder, "Sure thing, you stand there and if anyone you don't know comes up those stairs, you shoot them, okay?" Dax nodded at Cloe and waited again.

Pete raced up the stairs, no one was liberating the little girl he'd saved, and Harry was right behind him, after that girl he'd brought here, no sir, no one would take them! The plans were all wrong, everything was crazy, they were prepared, they were ready! Pete rushed foward at a girl at the top of the stairs who looked like she was pointing at him, his spear out, ready to gut her!

Dax watched as Cloe followed 'Ryan' down the stairs, and the sheriff followed them in suit, and Dax said a silent prayer, "Stay safe fair Cloe," she'd been a good little battler, so brave, working together had been easy. Dax turned away from his fallen friends, saying another prayer in their wake, and smiled at Siva, "Sorry about earlier, no hard feelings? Come, let's get these kids out of here," and then Dax did something he'd been wanting to do for a while now, he picked up Mouse, put her on his hip and ran away with her.

Mouse was so confused and frightened of all the action that was going on that she hadn't been able to say anything for a long time. Ryan had acted like he knew her before he left. That wasn't true though. And some had followed him to help Bray.

Siva had pulled her and BabyB out into the hallway which was littered with guards sprawled across the floor. She hated fighting! Then next thing she knew Dax had picked her up and they were heading back downstairs.

"Dax." She whispered. "I want to see Salene!"
