Alright, I'm about to get ragged the hell out of me. They had TWO weeks notice to evacuate. TWO weeks. I know they had their homes and everything there, ect. ect. ect., but even so, the purposely ignored these warnings and now a lot of them are dead or stranded and the worse off for it. Not only that, a lot of people lost their homes because, despite living in a flood zone, they had NO flood insurence. Why in the world would you live in an area that is know for getting hurricanes and being flooded without insurence? I am not against helping these people, but this will brought upon themselves. Some people are even suing the state! What kind of sense does that make? Did the state make the hurrican come? Of course not, these people are just looking for a quick buck. It infuriates me how cocky some people can be that nothing bad will happen to then and so don't prepare for it. I'm done ranting, so go ahead and tell me what a heartless uncaring bastard I am.

I'm not going to rag you out at all. Yes.. People are stupid when it comes to hurricanes. ANd evacuations. No one ever thinks it's going to be as bad as it is. Hell.. Look at the Mt St Helens crap... Idiots I swear. But.. here is where the evacuation thingee gets a little foggy. There are certain rules the local govt is supposed to adhere to regarding mandatory evacs, etc.. and dude.. seriously.. the mayor and the governor fucked up biiig time. Yes... so did a good chunk of the locals... But yo also have to keep in mind that a lot of the areas that were flooded were BFE type of places.. with very poor inhabitants.. The Mayor was supposed to use city buses and military vehicles to transport the evacuees to higher ground.. at least to the stadium.. But he didnt... The buses sat unused.. well I think a few were used.. but not nearly enough. Then.... the governor.. well I wont even get into that bullshit... I think she's going to be out of a job to say the least. But anyhoo.. I have a lot of homework.. so I'll catch you later ( ... )
