Asharah posted in her journal earlier this year last year about "honesty" in dancing. And it just got me postin', so I thought I would post a bit over here.

fusion dance is like fusion cuisine--when done with finesse (and a reasonable knowledge of the origins of the ingredients, as well as respect for said ingredients), it's a wondrous thing.

When done badly...well, it's kinda like fish-flavored ice cream.

Fusion should occur because that's where the dance is taking you. It shouldn't be occurring for its own sake. Don't fuse just to be fusing.

I think that is one reason why inFusion's dancing resonates with people; there is an honesty of spirit that is obvious to anyone watching.
