I feel so bad for you. I wish there was something I could do to help. Just remember, things will get better when you least expect it. I really hope things will go better for ya.

Growing up, my dad used to get violent drunk. I'd just go run and hide like mom told me to. Then it seemed to level off a bit and now he's just worse than ever. So I don't want to make it seem as if this is the way it has been all my life. This has just started getting really bad only recently.

I do hope it gets better. I don't really want to leave my mom here alone with him. He's threatened to hit her on a couple of occasions. Just today he wanted to hit her because she wouldn't go out to the garage and get his cigarettes.

Misty, i had no idea that it was leading to violence. I should have guess and seen it coming i was just being nieve. sumtimes somethings u dont see until they are spelt out to you.

its looks like u are taken 1 step forware and 2 steps back and this really isnt good,. In all honestly i know that u dont whnt to leave your mom and thats understandable the sooner u leave home the better. I could be worong and u know i usually am.

I'm not going to leave my mom here to be the subject of dad's misplaced drunken frustration and anger. It's not fair to me but it's definately not right for her. He's not taking care of himself and is in bad health. As much as I hate to say it because he is my dad, he doesn't have much longer to live. Then again he has lost all respect I ever had for him and honestly I think that I won't be seriously sad when he goes.
