I am sorry about your grandmother, and I completely understand. This Thanksgiving, I made some of my Nanny's traditional Thanksgiving dishes (the simple ones) because she is not there, even though she is alive.

Yesterday I took Anna to see her for the first time. She remembered that she is 'Nanny' for the first time in a very long while, and enjoyed seeing Laurel and the new one. I miss her, and I dread the rapid descent my other grandma, the sane one, is making. *tears and hugs* It's never easy I guess.

My Grandmother's been having congestive heart failure too. She was in the hospital again the weekend before thanksgiving. She's in her sixties, but with all the heart problems she's had, the doctors have told her she probably will only survive for three more years or less. If she has another heartattack, there's really nothing they can do for her... there's only so many bypasses they can do.

*hugs* I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother.

Hi, I am A. Salazar...High School science Ay' venclaven maven nerd

I found this LJ through a search for star trek enthusiasts, and I couldn't help myself from posting here despite the fact that I have not previously introduced myself. My grandmother died 2 years ago (at 12:30am ct nov.20) from CHF. I know how hard this must be!! Not just on you, but on your family.

My $.02
