Wrinkles

More show up on my face every year. Some say one should be proud of wrinkles as it shows a life rich with experiences and history. That is true, but I'd rather not have them :b I started thinking that I wanted to make some figures that have wrinkles and still look beautiful, I'd call it sublime if pulled off. Not sure that I have or not, but this ( Read more... )

Wrinkles in art, that is an interesting concept to work out. The doll is fantastic, the beaded hair is wonderful!

Mark Twain wrote "wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been." I have that mark between the eyebrows and the frown-y type are beginning at the corners of the mouth from how I hold my jaw bc of the TMJ. I'd rather those not be more prominent than the 'smile' wrinkles but pain face often gets the best of me.

Good luck w. the lettuces. Their bolting looked quite impressive but bitter leaves, blegh. Maybe they're not a total loss.

Glad your tomatoes are doing well. My mother always planted a variety of tomatoes. I did not understand why until some years after her death.

Tricia, pick a shadier spot & then try succession planting for lettuce. If you get a pack of seeds, plant a row a week for 3 weeks. That way your lettuce is actively replenishing itself-it doesn't all become mature at the same time, so less chance of it getting away on you & bolting. You can pretty much do this all summer long.

I don't like the wrinkles in my face either. They make it look like I'm frowning all the time, when I'm not. If I could afford it, I'd try botox. Here's an artist's whose work I admire. He paints faces with all sorts of lines and texture in them:

I envy you with all those tomatoes!
