This was really well thought out and well-written.

The beta in me has a couple of minor critiques -- and feel free to email me if you're interested -- but nothing can beat the plotting and characterization that you've shown here.

Thank you! I put a lot of effort into this and I'm glad you liked it.

I always welcome constructive criticism. It's just the whole "OMG YOU SUX" type that I can't exactly stand. Will email you in a while. :)

You know, it's really amazing how three different writers can come up with three completely different takes on the Petrelli family history--you, me, and 47_trek_47 all have our own spins on things. I mean, hell, Texas! Who the hell else could have thought of Texas? And Avery, and...everything. It all flowed well and felt very real. Good job! I feel like I should have more to say about a 21,000-word story that took you months to finish, but seriously, I'm left a little speechless here. That's a good thing.

Oh yes, definitely different! Although mine is by far the shortest so far. *laughs*

In the graphic novel, which is considered canon, it struck me that Petrelli Sr. was called "Dallas" (which might be their training base, though, I know), and Meredith staying in Texas... that was far too much of a concidence. Who's to say that they don't have a few family estates?

You, speechless. I am in glee. Thank you for reading!

Ahhh, but in the graphic novel, they're all named after some Texas city or another. Austin, and so on. It's a nice guess, but I don't think it's connected. Pity.

What a fantastic examination of their relationship! Interesting ywist having them be from Texas and moving to NY only after Nathan got Meredith pregnant.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Glad you liked the twist as well because the move was a big thing that I incoporated into the canon, but yes, it could have happened, couldn't it? Thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate it.

Wonderful story - and a great journey to togetherness along with the brothers. I loved all the rainy details, the parallels in their experiences, and how everything came together at the end. Writing long stuff is challenging; glad you felt up to the task, because we get a great fic out of it. Thank you!

It was really challenging as I've never written anything so long in my entire life. I'm really glad that you liked it! Thank you for your feedback and comments, I appreciate that lots.
