unadulterated rampant narcissism
okay, first off. the "before" shot. this is about as honger as i've ever been in my life.
next came the arduous process of cutting my hair. this is only the third time i've done it on myself, and i'm slowly getting better at cutting using my hands instead of my eyes. getting the back just so is tricky. i didn't bother taking pictures of this phase.
after the hair-cutting came the colour-applying. instructions said "apply as much solution as needed to saturate hair." i went a step beyond and just used all of it.
tasty! after twenty-five minutes, i rinsed it out and shampooed a couple of times. my shower stall looked like a certain famous clip from psycho for a while there, but i managed to rinse all of the dye out. et voila!
check out that rosy complexion! man i look effeminate. my camera's flash washes out most of the visible colour and doesn't do it justice, really. you should see how red it is when the light hits it. it's ridiculous.
next. i bought some $20 hair cement at a salon to ensure that my hair would be getting the kind of hold it deserves. dropping that much on fucking gel freaked me out, but the stuff is worth every penny. i barely have to use any, and i get more hold than half a bottle of cheap gel.
for the general haircut layout: i cut down the sides and back, and left the crown the length it was. i'm getting dangerously close to nammer-style hair, but whatever. dun dun dun!
