Oh, is that an insult?

So this painter guy we know, in an effort to convince us to get the outside of our house painted (it does need it), told us that the red-brown colour was OMG, so 70s.

Sheesh, good thing he hasn't seen the kind of 70s offenses I commit on our dining table.

My first thought was that the sideboard is gorgeous. The rest of the room is lovely as well.

Our house exterior is a brownish red brick, and the house wasn't built until 1995. To me 70's colors would be avocado green or harvest gold, and I think avocado green would look good on the exterior of a house.

BTW our front door is Hunter Green, which looks quite nice with the brick. Sage green sounds like a wonderful color choice.
