Your velociraptor comment reminds me: The other morning when I was driving down the back road to school, 4 wild turkeys crossed the road in front of me. It was like have some dinosaurs trotting across the road.

Well, I read they would eat mice on the chicken forums, and I happen to have a dead mouse provider, so the experiment just had to be tried.

Gorgeous blue egg and I love your Easter tree.
My girls are laying round the back of the hen house in hidden dustbaths and not in the nest box at the moment - grr!

Everyone I know who keeps chickens refers to them as little dinosaurs. :)

Ooh. Those are lovely (barring the cracking), and larger than I was expecting. Maybe I've only seen the similar-looking eggs of different breeds. Or perhaps you just have extremely dainty hands.
