Since Maggie had announced that she would be visiting her mother for the day, Caleb had decided to take the day off from work. Spend some time with Garth and baby Derek. All in all, he was looking forward to a quiet day with his family

Bob was cranky.

...not that this was very descriptive. He was a perpetually cranky man. But this time he was very cranky. "I was sleeping."

"And you complain that I sleep late. Hmph!" Casper, on the other hand, was his normal chipper self, even with the light but ever so cold rain that was falling down on them.

"Besides, how long has it been since you even saw your charge? And if I have reason to go there, I don't see why you shouldn't come with me. I need someone to intruduce me, you know."

"Since when has that stopped you?" Bob grumbled, insisting on making this trip utterly horrible for all involved. Because he is a cranky old man. "You're good with strangers. You love strangers. You're buying me coffee later.

"Well, never. But, you know, I take every chance I can get to annoy you." Casper said this with a light laugh as he practically skipped down teh street. "Of course I'm buying you coffee. And as a little extra incentive to maybe make you behave yourself, I'll concider paying for some scotch to go with that coffee. If you behave yourself!"
