Questions for October.
274. What is your character’s attitude toward education and learning, either formal or informal?
Lightning doesn’t really like much about education and anything to do with school, but that doesn’t mean that he likes to learn about new things. He likes to learn about things that he’s never heard of, situations that he’s never been in, and events that he’s never heard of. Without a doubt he likes to visit different areas and learn about how things are there.
275. Does your character like to read? If so, what does he like to read, when, and how?
He absolutely cannot stand reading. It’s not that he can’t, but it’s more like he gets bored quickly with reading. He’s much more of a guy that wants to go out and catch a movie rather than sit still long enough to read a book.
276. What are your character’s beliefs regarding death and the afterlife?
Almost none. Lightning doesn't necessarily think there's anything in the afterlife. He believed it for awhile with his upbringing, but by the time he became a teenager he thought about it and decided that his views were actually very different than he thought.
277. What does your character believe to be his purpose in life?
He hasn’t really thought about his purpose and it’s still something he’s trying to consider, but he believes that he’s here in the world for a reason other than just because his parents did “the dirty and got pregnant” (of course, that’s me, the mun, talking, not him). He has powers, and he likes to think that he got them for a reason.
278. How does your character view the opposite sex?
Lightning’s indifferent with girls. He’s known enough girls to know that there’s nothing entirely different from them, aside from the unpredictable mood swings that he winds up getting in the middle of since he’d never see them coming and how sensitive they can be. He views boys and girls as the same. Irregardless of what gender you are, if you’re an idiot or a bimbo, he’s going to call you an idiot or a bimbo.
279. What does your character consider to be the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen?
That’s simple: the dancing lights that his powers can produce! Aha, yes, that’s a pun, but the lights do amuse him.
280. What does your character consider to be the ugliest thing he’s ever seen?
Uh, you. Haha, I don't know. He thinks a lot of the monsters that he's had to fight are pretty much the ugliest things he's had to face.
281. How does your character feel about the idea of owning his own home?
He would be all over the idea. It’d be a home where he doesn’t have to have any rules on what to do and what not to do, he can fix up the house in any manner he wishes, and he doesn’t have to worry about offending anyone with anything he does.
282. What does your character feel most confident about?
Lightning’s confident about himself. He thinks that he can accomplish almost anything and he tries not to have anything stop him from getting what he wants or getting to a comfortable place in his life.
283. What does your character feel least confident about?
Although he shows it on the outside that he’s confident about his abilities, which he is for the majority of the time, he sometimes thinks that there’s nothing helpful about his abilities. And he also thinks that he can do much better than how he’s doing now. He always thinks that he has to push himself to the next level.
284. Your character wakes up to find a poisonous spider on his pillow next to his head. What does he do?
Lightning freaks out and gets the fuck out of his bed as fast as he can. Oh, and he zaps it. He’s not so stupid that he’s going to lay there and let a spider get him, let alone a poisonous one.
How did it get there? Thunder got back at him for giving him trick gum. And Lightning will surely go out of his way to remind Thunder the difference between a funny and a “that was entirely irresponsible” moment.
285. How far does your character believe he would go to achieve his most cherished goal? How far would he really go?
Lightning would do just about anything to achieve his most cherished goal, which is bad because, while doing so, he might unintentionally harm others.
286. Someone cuts your character off in traffic, or grabs the last of something your character wants to purchase before he can pick it up. How does he respond?
He doesn’t drive (and God help us all if Lightning ever gets into a car and goes into traffic), but if the latter ever happened to him, he’d try to take it back from the person, especially if he thinks that he was the one that was there to get it first. Then somebody like Thunder or a friend of his, like Ophelia recently, would have to tell him to let it go and to go get something else.
287. What character trait most annoys your character when he experiences it in others? Even though Lightning himself is an egotistical guy, he hates other people's egos. Lightning's in the belief that if you brag, you have to have the ability to back up your bragging.
288. What’s the worst injury your character has ever received?
Second degree burns on him after an incident in a body of water and a broken arm. He recovered from both of those, but it’s one of the worst injuries he’s had while fighting an enemy.
289. In what arena is your character most competitive?
You pick it, and if he likes this “area”, he’ll automatically be competitive in it. He’ll find competition in almost anything.
290. Does your character feel responsible for anyone besides himself?
He feels responsible for his brother Thunder. He’s only a tad bit older than his brother, but he feels that, since he’s the older one, he’s always had to watch over Thunder. They feel responsible for each other, but Lightning is strictly overprotective. If anyone had the gall to hurt his brother, Lightning would make sure they don’t think about doing it again.
291. What does your character spend his money on?
He typically spends most of his money on snacks, basic necessities for every day, and things that perk his interest.
292. What’s the worst illness your character has ever experienced?
By far, the worst illness he's ever had to go through was food poisoning. He couldn't get out of bed unless it was to use the bathroom or to vomit and he couldn't keep anything down. He was afraid to eat anything when he recovered.
293. What’s the worst illness your character has ever witnessed?
He hasn’t really seen anyone in a bad state before, at least none that can stand out to him.
294. Has your character ever watched someone die?
He’s never watched anyone die.
295. Has your character ever been witness to a serious crime?
He’s had to fight a few crimes here and there, so it’s possible that Lightning had witnessed his fair share of serious crimes he had to stop.
296. How does your character view minor violations of the law?
If it’s stuff like traffic violations or what time curfews are, it’s nothing that Lightning really cares to know. That’s something that he’s ever been concerned with, and Lightning doesn’t see a reason why he should be concerned about them now.
297. Does your character have a sense of “personal space”?
Sometimes, no. In a small home back in his hometown, he barely had any privacy, or so that’s how he felt. And since he’s a Titan, things happen on and off that can interrupt said personal space.
298. Does your character have any artistic talents, such as writing, painting, playing an instrument, or singing? Are they well developed or raw and untrained? Secret or public?
He doesn’t have any artistic abilities, or he’s never really attempted to find out about them. They would probably be untrained and very secret.
299. How well does your character handle change?
He knows that things change for a reason, but that doesn’t mean that Lightning has to like it.
300. Does your character enjoy surprises?
He loves surprises, as long as they’re pleasant and please him in some way or another!
301. Does your character tend to follow fads and trends? Does he studiously avoid them? Or does he do his own thing without worrying about it either way?
Lightning doesn’t really care for trends and fads. He’ll dress the way he wants to dress, he’ll listen to whatever his mood calls for something specific, and he’ll like the things that he likes without worrying about somebody thinking that it’s absolutely “out of style” or “ridiculous, since nobody likes it anymore”.
302. How does your character approach work? Is he organized and methodical? Disorganized and wild? Energetic and enthusiastic? Lazy and unconcerned? Something else entirely? [will answer later]
303. Does your character prefer to adopt the latest technological conveniences, or does she prefer to rely on tried-and-true methods?
He likes latest technological conveniences if they make hard tasks a lot simpler, since he doesn’t like to put all of the energy that his body’s capable of having all in one thing.
304. What does your character do, if anything, to take care of and preserve his own health? [will answer later]
305. How does your character greet others?
If it’s somebody that he recognizes or someone that he generally likes, he’ll wave to them or greet them in a warm manner, usually asking what they’ve been up to if he hasn’t seen them in awhile. If it’s anyone that he isn’t familiar with or someone he’s not sure he likes, he’s less friendly with, and he’s a bit uptight with how he approaches them.
