[Bow to your sensei!] [Locked to Duela]

"Stupid," he muttered under his breath. "Stupid brother, stupid Nexus, stupid father, stupid -- STUPID BAG!He muttered all of this with every punch at the bag, and was frustrated when the bag barely budged. Lightning was never physically strong. Or at least, not as strong as Thunder. Punching the stupid sack was grinding his nerves much more. ( Read more... )

There came a knock at the door, just as Lightning sat down.

"Uhm... hello?" came a familiar voice from the other side of the door.

Ooh, ooh! A visitor!

Lightning didn't care who it was or what it was about! All he cared about was that it was company to drag into the house and amuse him, even if he had to force them to stick around.

"Coming!" he called out. Lightning got up from his spot on the couch, walked over to the door, and opened it.

And standing on the other side of the door was... Duela Dent! Stalker not-so-extraordinaire!

"Uhm! Hiya!" she said, waving, looking a bit nervous.

Even better! It was somebody he immediately recognized. ... Because seriously, who wouldn't forget their stalker?

"Hello, Har -- er, Duela," he quickly corrected himself as he greeted her. After all, she wasn't in make up and she wasn't in a silly outfit.

Duela meeped a bit, when she saw the crack appear in the wall. She walked over, and began to retrieve her weapons. "Well, ok... if you say so..."

She thought for a moment. "Oh! I have nother things in the bag besides these!"

"Oh? What are the rest?" he asked, glancing into the bag from where he was standing. Best he keeps his hands to himself, if he knows better -- curiosity did kill the cat!

She walked over, and after putting her cards back in, she pulled out a collapsable metal staff with an ace-of-clubs figure at the end of it.

"Uhm! Well, this is something I can use as a weapon," she said, extending it and spinning it around a little bit awkwardly.

"That is quite different," he said as he observed. "Does it do anything, or do you just smack people with it?"

Duela just giggled at the sight of him happy. She smiled, and bent down, shifting through her equipment, trying to find something else to show off.

"Oh! Uhm! I sort of use these to block, or jut out at people!" she said, holding up two miniature weapons that looked like spades. "They're not sharp enough to really hurt someone bad, though..."

Lightning took his attention off of the staff, the light going away for a moment as he looked to see what else she had. At this rate, what with the neat looking weapons, he almost forgot she stalked him. Almost.

"Ah, well, you need something for defense. Surely the other weapons will do the job those cannot do," he said.

"Yep! And uh..."

>_>

She looked nervous, and held up what looked suspiciously like her exploding marbles.

OH SHI, MARBLES.

Lightning immediately backed up and said, "Okay, when I said I am fine with messing up the walls, I did not mean making them explode!"

... And then stared at them. "... Or, er. Arethesedifferent?" he asked quickly. He really, really hoped they were different.

Duela laughed nervously. "That's kind of what I wanted to ask you about. I was wondering, Lightning... could you train me?"

Blink blink. "Train?" He thought about it. "I never had anyone ask me to train them," he said out loud to himself in thought. Probably for a good reason. "But I do not see the harm in it." How could be not agree to it? Anyone like Lightning would be flattered to be asked of such a thing, after all!

Duela couldn't help it. She sprang forward and hugged him. "Oh, Lightning, thank you!" ^_^

Onoes! Hugs! Well, he did hug back -- lightly, but he did hug back! (After all, she came with neat stuff.)

"Er. You are welcome, Duela."
