Aly had been following the elections with a bemusement that came from an extensive experience with monarchies and a year of dating a declared political geek.  She wondered just how much money Josh had won - or lost - on this particular set of elections.  Hopefully the entire pot if his candidate turned out as he hoped.

Roy was good at alleviating boredom. He thought so himself anyway and he'd brought Aly some ice cream to prove it too. He did have to occasionally lick it to get it to her however, but she'd just have to deal with that.

"You look like you could need a break," he commented from the doorway.

She looked up with a grin. "Just not the arm, please."

He rolled his eyes. "Now I really do know I just came in time," he decided as he moved towards her desk. "Your humour has just gotten worse."
