Roy had managed to get himself over to Aly's study all on his own. Which probably was about damn time, but he swore the halls in this palace kept rearranging themselves. Or it was his eyepatch's fault. Yeah, that was it.

Anyway, he'd found it which seemed to be a good thing as most of the servants were looking rather stressed out over something. He stopped in front of Aly's door and knocked lightly, waiting just in case she had someone else with her.

"Come in," Aly called, pressing her hand over her eyes so it didn't look like she'd been rubbing them and looking up. She was expecting a servant or possibly Chenaol. One of her pack would have used the signal knock.

Maybe they needed their own signal knock, but then it'd be less of a surprise if he used it.

He stepped into the familiar office, unable to keep from smiling at the prospect of seeing her. It faded when he did, tilting his head as he took in her posture. Sometimes he worried that the time apart was going to make him forget certain things, but he found that he could still as easily read her.

"Hey, beautiful," he said softly, drawing her attention to him.

He didn't need to draw her attention to him. For one, she'd be paying attention to anyone who came into her office and for another, she couldn't help the broad grin as she saw him.

"Roy," she said happily, standing up to move towards him. "Why don't I think your letter to say you were coming went astray."
