I've read this several times and didn't respond....because the hurt is too much....the other night I was at the G/L/B/T center in NYC and they had a candle-light vigil for him...I noticed that a few folks felt uncomfortable when others asked to join the vigil....thank them and thank you for keeping him alive......I also remember Mr. Byrd as well who only a few short weeks after Matthews death was dragged to his death in Texas simply for being a black man.
Too bad the religious right don't understand that it is the meek who are to inherit the Earth according to the Bible...that is..if you believe in that sort of thing. The religious right of today were the same ones who crucified Jesus for speaking of truth, justice and peace.
