Fred Phelps will be here in Durham May 4th-6th protesting the Durham School of the Arts' production of "The Laramie Project".
Please contact me if you are interested in doing some sort of homo love-in action at the protest site.

Supersoakers! Supersoakers! I once sprayed a blast of filthy fountain water into the gaping hate-spewing maw of one of his followers, and then passed the watergun to one of many small children running around the site of our activism. It was the most beautiful moment of my activist career.

I wish I could be there to do something at a John Waters level of tastelessness. Fudge tunnel themed potato-gun style chocolate frosting attacks. slingshot Jell-O abortions. mean messy shit!

you and your jell-o abortions!
yeah, they interviewed him in the paper and ended the article with something about how the strippers at Thee Dollhouse should prepare for bad tips while his congregation passes thru town.

Fred Phelps lives in Topeka, KS, which is 20 min up the road from Lawrence... Thus, he protests almost every event I go to... from Alice Walker to Noam Chomsky to drag shows. Anyhooo... what some of the kids here do is that they do a fundraiser where they get people to sign pledges to pay $.05 or $.10 per minute that Fred Phelps protests... it's raised a ton of money and turns his protest into something to benefit the very cause(s) he's against. Also, the kiss-ins are fun.
